# RXSmartCam vs SunView

The clearest difference is review sentiment: RXSmartCam at 100% against SunView's 9%. RXSmartCam also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 13.0). SunView's advantage is rating (3.9 vs 3.5). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SunView holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of RXSmartCam's written reviews are positive against 9% of SunView's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

RXSmartCam ships an update every 2 weeks, SunView every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
