# Parler vs Farcaster

The clearest difference is rating: Farcaster at 4.6 against Parler's 3.9. Farcaster also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 175). Parler's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Parler sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Farcaster sells 16 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
