# Scanner Vault vs Scanner

Scanner Vault and Scanner both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 94% of Scanner Vault's written reviews are positive against 36% of Scanner's. Scanner Vault also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). Scanner's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs fortnightly).
