# EAC vs EMDEC

The clearest difference is update cadence: EMDEC at every 6 weeks against EAC's every 5 months. EMDEC also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EAC ships an update every 5 months, EMDEC every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
