# Countdown vs Almost

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Countdown at 188K against Almost's 2. Countdown also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks) and chart position (#49 vs unranked). Almost's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Almost sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Almost holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown has 188K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Countdown ships an update every 4 days, Almost every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
