# Countdown vs PottyTime

The clearest difference is ads: PottyTime at none against Countdown's shown. PottyTime also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 72%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Countdown's advantage is ratings volume (189K vs 3) and chart position (#84 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and PottyTime sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PottyTime holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown has 189K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 72% of Countdown's written reviews are positive against 100% of PottyTime's.

Countdown ships an update every 3 days, PottyTime every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
