# Edina 311 vs Hydrawise

Edina 311 and Hydrawise both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Edina 311's written reviews are positive against 39% of Hydrawise's. Hydrawise's advantage is ratings volume (67K vs 31) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Hydrawise holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hydrawise has 67K ratings behind it against 31, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Edina 311's written reviews are positive against 39% of Hydrawise's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Edina 311 ships an update every 4 months, Hydrawise every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
