# Ling vs Fast

The clearest difference is rating: Ling at 4.6 against Fast's 2.0. Ling also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (17K vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ling sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and Fast sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ling holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ling has 17K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ling ships an update weekly, Fast every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
