# USB vs Dermazoom

The clearest difference is rating: Dermazoom at 5.0 against USB's 2.0. Dermazoom also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). USB's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (29 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dermazoom holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: USB has 29 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

USB ships an update every 5 weeks, Dermazoom every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
