# Themeology vs Psychedelic Live Wallpapers

The clearest difference is monetization model: Psychedelic Live Wallpapers at free with in-app purchases against Themeology's subscription. Psychedelic Live Wallpapers also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26.0). Themeology's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (648 vs 189). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Themeology sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Psychedelic Live Wallpapers sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Themeology holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 648 and 189 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of Themeology's written reviews are positive against 25% of Psychedelic Live Wallpapers's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Themeology ships an update every 5 days, Psychedelic Live Wallpapers weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
