# Collect64 vs Gamepad Controller

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Collect64 at 67% against Gamepad Controller's 14%. Collect64 also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and device support (3 vs 1). Gamepad Controller's advantage is rating (4.1 vs 2.9) and update cadence (daily vs every 4 months). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Collect64 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Gamepad Controller sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gamepad Controller holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 97 and 58 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Collect64's written reviews are positive against 14% of Gamepad Controller's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Collect64 ships an update every 4 months, Gamepad Controller daily. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
