# Messenger VPN vs Emolfi

The clearest difference is rating: Messenger VPN at 4.5 against Emolfi's 3.8. Messenger VPN also leads on ratings volume (3.6K vs 21). Emolfi's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 5 months) and review sentiment (50% vs 32%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Messenger VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Emolfi sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Messenger VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Messenger VPN has 3.6K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of Messenger VPN's written reviews are positive against 50% of Emolfi's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Messenger VPN ships an update every 5 months, Emolfi weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
