# Hallow vs Ellie

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Hallow at 382K against Ellie's 1. Hallow also leads on chart position (#4 vs unranked). Ellie's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 8 days) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hallow sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Ellie sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Hallow against 5.0 for Ellie. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hallow has 382K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hallow ships an update every 8 days, Ellie every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
