# Chet vs Otonic

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Chet at none against Otonic's 3. Chet also leads on review sentiment (96% vs 67%) and rating (4.8 vs 4.4). Otonic's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Otonic sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Chet asks for nothing beyond the download.

Chet holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Chet has 2.4K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 96% of Chet's written reviews are positive against 67% of Otonic's.
