# Pimsleur | Language Learning vs Digit

The clearest difference is rating: Pimsleur | Language Learning at 4.7 against Digit's 3.9. Pimsleur | Language Learning also leads on ratings volume (31K vs 7) and chart position (#6 vs unranked). Digit's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pimsleur | Language Learning sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Digit sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pimsleur | Language Learning holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pimsleur | Language Learning has 31K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Pimsleur | Language Learning ships an update fortnightly, Digit every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
