# Shift vs DoubleAAcademy

The clearest difference is rating: DoubleAAcademy at 5.0 against Shift's 4.5. DoubleAAcademy also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 77%) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). Shift's advantage is update cadence (every 11 days vs every 4 weeks) and ratings volume (57 vs 7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Shift sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and DoubleAAcademy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

DoubleAAcademy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shift has 57 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of Shift's written reviews are positive against 100% of DoubleAAcademy's.

Shift ships an update every 11 days, DoubleAAcademy every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
