# Dig In vs Excavator

The clearest difference is rating: Excavator at 5.0 against Dig In's 3.0. Dig In's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Excavator holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dig In has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
