# FaceLapse vs Video Compressor and Resizer

The clearest difference is ads: Video Compressor and Resizer at none against FaceLapse's shown. FaceLapse's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FaceLapse sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Video Compressor and Resizer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FaceLapse ships an update every 8 days, Video Compressor and Resizer every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
