# SmartSignal vs MYPLUS LIGHT

The clearest difference is rating: MYPLUS LIGHT at 2.0 against SmartSignal's 1.5. MYPLUS LIGHT also leads on update cadence (every 4 months vs every 13 months). SmartSignal's advantage is ratings volume (29 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 11.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MYPLUS LIGHT holds the better App Store score, 2.0 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SmartSignal has 29 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 4% of SmartSignal's written reviews are positive against 0% of MYPLUS LIGHT's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SmartSignal ships an update every 13 months, MYPLUS LIGHT every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
