# Inpaint vs AniEraser

The clearest difference is rating: Inpaint at 4.2 against AniEraser's 2.6. Inpaint also leads on ratings volume (1.6K vs 85). AniEraser's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 13 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Inpaint sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and AniEraser sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Inpaint holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Inpaint has 1.6K ratings behind it against 85, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 21% and 21% positive.

Inpaint ships an update every 13 months, AniEraser every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
