# Inpaint vs Arcastash

The clearest difference is update cadence: Arcastash at every 5 days against Inpaint's every 13 months. Inpaint's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Inpaint sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Arcastash sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Inpaint ships an update every 13 months, Arcastash every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
