# Great Wolf Lodge vs Aquatica

The clearest difference is monetization model: Great Wolf Lodge at free against Aquatica's free with in-app purchases. Great Wolf Lodge also leads on chart position (#117 vs unranked) and ratings volume (65K vs 11K). Aquatica's advantage is review sentiment (49% vs 37%) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Great Wolf Lodge against 4.9 for Aquatica. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Great Wolf Lodge has 65K ratings behind it against 11K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 37% of Great Wolf Lodge's written reviews are positive against 49% of Aquatica's.

Great Wolf Lodge ships an update monthly, Aquatica every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 26, 2026.
