# Touch Portal vs Controlax

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Controlax at none against Touch Portal's 6. Controlax also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.0). Touch Portal's advantage is review sentiment (55% vs 20%) and ratings volume (800 vs 5). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Touch Portal sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Controlax asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Touch Portal against 4.6 for Controlax. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Touch Portal has 800 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 55% of Touch Portal's written reviews are positive against 20% of Controlax's.

Touch Portal ships an update every 3 months, Controlax every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
