# Scrap Gold Pro vs Blantons

The clearest difference is update cadence: Blantons at every 5 days against Scrap Gold Pro's every 4 months. Blantons also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Scrap Gold Pro ships an update every 4 months, Blantons every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
