# VR Matkalla vs OSL

The clearest difference is monetization model: OSL at free against VR Matkalla's free with in-app purchases. VR Matkalla's advantage is ratings volume (569 vs 12) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for VR Matkalla against 4.9 for OSL. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VR Matkalla has 569 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two.

VR Matkalla ships an update every 3 weeks, OSL every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
