# ROW8 vs BabyTalk Translator

The clearest difference is rating: BabyTalk Translator at 4.3 against ROW8's 3.0. BabyTalk Translator also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (320 vs 59). ROW8's advantage is review sentiment (37% vs 23%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ROW8 sells 21 one-off in-app purchases and BabyTalk Translator sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BabyTalk Translator holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BabyTalk Translator has 320 ratings behind it against 59, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of ROW8's written reviews are positive against 23% of BabyTalk Translator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
