# Slideshow Maker vs SilkSlide

The clearest difference is rating: Slideshow Maker at 4.7 against SilkSlide's 3.0. Slideshow Maker also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and ratings volume (6.4K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Slideshow Maker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and SilkSlide sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
