# Countdown Widget with Emoji vs Countdown

The clearest difference is update cadence: Countdown at every 10 days against Countdown Widget with Emoji's every 6 weeks. Countdown also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown Widget with Emoji sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Countdown sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 336 and 118 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Countdown Widget with Emoji's written reviews are positive against 57% of Countdown's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Countdown Widget with Emoji ships an update every 6 weeks, Countdown every 10 days. Both last shipped on October 15, 2026.
