# KomiX vs Komic

The clearest difference is price: Komic at Free against KomiX's $1.99. Komic also leads on rating (4.8 vs 2.8) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). KomiX's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.5). On review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Komic is free to download; KomiX costs $1.99 up front. Komic sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. KomiX asks for nothing beyond the download.

Komic holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Komic has 48 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of KomiX's written reviews are positive against 60% of Komic's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

KomiX ships an update every 2 months, Komic every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
