# Cute Wallpapers Background vs App Lock

The clearest difference is rating: App Lock at 4.6 against Cute Wallpapers Background's 3.7. App Lock also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months). Cute Wallpapers Background's advantage is review sentiment (66% vs 33%) and ratings volume (82 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cute Wallpapers Background sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and App Lock sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

App Lock holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cute Wallpapers Background has 82 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 66% of Cute Wallpapers Background's written reviews are positive against 33% of App Lock's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cute Wallpapers Background ships an update every 2 months, App Lock weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
