# FastScout vs ShotTracker Go

The clearest difference is rating: ShotTracker Go at 5.0 against FastScout's 4.1. FastScout's advantage is ratings volume (28 vs 3) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ShotTracker Go holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FastScout has 28 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FastScout ships an update every 3 weeks, ShotTracker Go every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
