# MineAR vs Geonest Mapping

The clearest difference is update cadence: Geonest Mapping at monthly against MineAR's every 3 months. MineAR's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MineAR sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Geonest Mapping sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MineAR ships an update every 3 months, Geonest Mapping monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
