# SkillSignal vs TC

The clearest difference is rating: TC at 5.0 against SkillSignal's 3.7. TC also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). SkillSignal's advantage is ratings volume (42 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SkillSignal has 42 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SkillSignal ships an update every 2 months, TC fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
