# OvrC vs Speco Access Control

The clearest difference is rating: Speco Access Control at 3.8 against OvrC's 2.4. Speco Access Control also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.5). OvrC's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (44 vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Speco Access Control holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OvrC has 44 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of OvrC's written reviews are positive against 0% of Speco Access Control's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OvrC ships an update fortnightly, Speco Access Control every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
