# OvrC vs HVMV

The clearest difference is update cadence: OvrC at fortnightly against HVMV's every 11 months. OvrC also leads on rating (2.4 vs 2.0) and ratings volume (44 vs 8). HVMV's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.5). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OvrC holds the better App Store score, 2.4 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OvrC has 44 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 9% of OvrC's written reviews are positive against 17% of HVMV's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OvrC ships an update fortnightly, HVMV every 11 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
