# Varpet vs Shipex

The clearest difference is rating: Shipex at 5.0 against Varpet's 4.5. Varpet's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 59 months) and ratings volume (17 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Shipex holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Varpet has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Varpet ships an update every 3 weeks, Shipex every 59 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
