# Blackout v2 (Legacy) vs Ruler Studio

The clearest difference is update cadence: Blackout v2 (Legacy) at every 2 weeks against Ruler Studio's every 6 weeks. Ruler Studio's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blackout v2 (Legacy) sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Ruler Studio sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blackout v2 (Legacy) ships an update every 2 weeks, Ruler Studio every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
