# Screen Recorder vs Screen Recorder ‑ Record Video

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Screen Recorder ‑ Record Video at 10K against Screen Recorder's 462. Screen Recorder's advantage is review sentiment (65% vs 56%) and device support (4 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Recorder sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Screen Recorder ‑ Record Video sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen Recorder ‑ Record Video holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screen Recorder ‑ Record Video has 10K ratings behind it against 462, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of Screen Recorder's written reviews are positive against 56% of Screen Recorder ‑ Record Video's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Screen Recorder ships an update every 3 weeks, Screen Recorder ‑ Record Video monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
