# Olvid vs Talks

The clearest difference is ads: Olvid at none against Talks's shown. Talks's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Olvid sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per month and Talks sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Olvid ships an update every 6 weeks, Talks every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and September 13, 2026 respectively.
