# Tornado.io! vs Good Robot

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Good Robot at 100% against Tornado.io!'s 51%. Good Robot also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). Tornado.io!'s advantage is rating (4.7 vs 3.6) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tornado.io! sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Good Robot asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tornado.io! holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tornado.io! has 98K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Tornado.io!'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Good Robot's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tornado.io! ships an update every 2 weeks, Good Robot every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 14, 2026 respectively.
