# Tornado.io! vs Frigate IO

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Frigate IO at 100% against Tornado.io!'s 51%. Frigate IO also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and update cadence (daily vs every 2 weeks). Tornado.io!'s advantage is ratings volume (98K vs 2) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tornado.io! sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Frigate IO asks for nothing beyond the download.

Tornado.io! holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tornado.io! has 98K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Tornado.io!'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Frigate IO's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tornado.io! ships an update every 2 weeks, Frigate IO daily. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
