# Byga vs Head Royce Stats

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Head Royce Stats at 100% against Byga's 48%. Head Royce Stats also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 3 weeks). Byga's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.2) and ratings volume (29K vs 5). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Byga holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Byga has 29K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 48% of Byga's written reviews are positive against 100% of Head Royce Stats's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Byga ships an update every 3 weeks, Head Royce Stats every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
