# LightChat vs HART

The clearest difference is rating: HART at 4.3 against LightChat's 3.5. HART also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). LightChat's advantage is ratings volume (46 vs 7). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LightChat sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and HART sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

HART holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LightChat has 46 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 50% and 50% positive.

LightChat ships an update monthly, HART fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
