# Penglai vs e 筆

The clearest difference is update cadence: e 筆 at every 3 weeks against Penglai's every 28 months. Penglai's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Penglai ships an update every 28 months, e 筆 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
