# V vs Eco Smart

The clearest difference is rating: V at 5.0 against Eco Smart's 1.8. V also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 17 months) and iOS requirement (7.0 vs 11.0). Eco Smart's advantage is ratings volume (47 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

V holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Eco Smart has 47 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
