# AlterLock vs Quillink

The clearest difference is update cadence: AlterLock at every 2 months against Quillink's every 6 months. Quillink's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AlterLock sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Quillink sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AlterLock ships an update every 2 months, Quillink every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
