# SkyCamera vs RecVault

The clearest difference is ads: RecVault at none against SkyCamera's shown. RecVault also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 7 months). SkyCamera's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SkyCamera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and RecVault sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SkyCamera ships an update every 7 months, RecVault every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
