# ev.energy vs Lectron

The clearest difference is rating: ev.energy at 4.8 against Lectron's 3.4. ev.energy also leads on ratings volume (2.9K vs 9) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Lectron's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 2) and review sentiment (57% vs 30%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ev.energy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $10.00 per month. Lectron asks for nothing beyond the download.

ev.energy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ev.energy has 2.9K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of ev.energy's written reviews are positive against 57% of Lectron's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ev.energy ships an update every 2 weeks, Lectron every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
