# BigCommerce vs IONOS eCommerce

The clearest difference is ratings volume: BigCommerce at 640 against IONOS eCommerce's 9. BigCommerce also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BigCommerce holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BigCommerce has 640 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.
