# FAU Lab Schools vs SchoolPass

The clearest difference is rating: SchoolPass at 4.7 against FAU Lab Schools's 3.0. SchoolPass also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (5K vs 6). FAU Lab Schools's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 20%) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SchoolPass holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SchoolPass has 5K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of FAU Lab Schools's written reviews are positive against 20% of SchoolPass's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FAU Lab Schools ships an update every 8 months, SchoolPass monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
